The role of a Fleet Sales Executive centres on the sale of fleet vehicles to other businesses. It involves prospecting to new and existing customers, qualifying, demonstrating and selling a product and promoting the additional accessories, warranties, insurances and protection products on offer.
Based in a Dealership, you will be the face of the fleeting department and will have regular interaction with new and existing customers. It is therefore essential that you can offer the highest levels of customer service by providing a knowledgeable, responsive and efficient service. A good Fleet Sales Executive will be someone who can work in a professional manner, answering any queries a customer may have and exploring all the options that may be suited to each individual customer and their business.
You will report into the Fleet Sales Manager and will be expected to achieve sales objectives and contribute to the profitability of the dealership. As this is a business to business sales role, the Fleet Sales Executive will be required to contact local business to generate awareness of the brand and its services and attend sales appointments within the local area. An important aspect of this role is promoting loyalty and working closely with the Aftersales Team to ensure customers receive the highest level of ongoing service.
The role of Fleet Sales Executive is very target driven and has lots of potential for growth and promotion for the right person. The natural next steps would be the role of Fleet Sales Team Leader, Fleet Sales Manager and upwards. This is a great opportunity for a Sales Executive to enter the Fleet side of the Automotive Industry.
Typical working hours in this role are around 40 hours per week, this could include some weekend working, usually on an ad-hoc basis. As a Fleet Sales Executive you will also get the opportunity to achieve great performance based bonuses, for this reason, basic salaries tend to be lower but OTE can reach £40K and above.
