As a Parts Warehouse Assistant you will work as part of a team and handle deliveries and orders, maintain accurate stock levels, assist with quality control and ensure that all paperwork and records of delivery are kept up to date.  Working in a Warehouse can be a fast paced environment so it is important you can maintain a high standard of working under pressure.

As the job title suggests, this role is based within a warehouse which could be a separate part of the Automotive Business or attached to the Workshop. The role of Parts Warehouse Assistant requires an element of physical labour such as lifting and unloading deliveries and it is important that this is carried out in a safe and effective way.  A successful Parts Warehouse Assistant will be focused, highly driven with lots of energy and enthusiasm and capable of prioritising work to meet requests.

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, this position offers a great starting point into a career in the automotive industry as you will widen your knowledge and gain many transferrable skills. Depending on your career goals you could choose to continue working in the warehouse side of business as work your way up to Warehouse Team Leader or transfer into the Parts department as a Parts Advisor.

Typically, the hours of work for a Parts Warehouse Assistant are around 45 hours per week, in some cases this could be shift work and may also include working some weekends.  Salaries tend to be around £16,000 - £18,000 per annum.
