Leasing and Rental businesses offer both business clients and individuals a long or short term hire of a vehicle or vehicles. Leasing is a much longer commitment whereas renting a vehicle is a short term solution usually up to a few weeks.
Both Leasing and Rental Businesses will aim to supply a vehicle which is tailored to the needs of each individual customer however the procurement of these vehicles differs depending on whether it is a leasing business or a rental one.
Like many other Automotive businesses, Leasing and Rental Agencies will be made up of a number of different teams including the Sales Team, Service Team, Logistics as well as the Administration and Accounts Team. Overseeing the operation will be a Manager and for larger, national businesses a Management Team. The Management Team will usually include a combination of Sales Managers, Service Managers, Procurement Managers, Branch Managers, Regional Managers right the way up to Group Manager and Director level.
The Managers based within the branch of a Leasing or Rental business will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the operation and compliance of all staff. They will prioritise customer service standards in order to attract and retain business and will be at the forefront of driving the business forward. People Management skills are key to the success of this role as a Manager should be able to motivate staff lead by example and support the team at all times.
If the business is part of a franchise the Manager is likely to report into a wider management team and will be responsible for delivering the results of their franchise. It is important that they can communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business.
