Duties Of The Bodyshop Workshop Controller:
- Overseeing daily workshop operations to ensure jobs are completed on time and to the highest standard
- Allocating work efficiently to technicians based on skills, current workload, and job priorities
- Monitoring progress, quality control, and productivity throughout the repair process
- Ensuring stage repairs are completed before vehicles move through various stages of repair
- Liaising with parts, customer service, and VDA teams to maintain smooth workflow
- Checking the quality of repairs at each stage and resolving any issues promptly
- Promoting a safe, compliant, and well-organised workshop environment
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Workshop Controller or in a similar role within the accident repair industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team
- In-depth understanding of bodyshop repair processes and operations
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service
