Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Required in Godstone, Surrey

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to join a reputable and growth-oriented dealership in Godstone, Surrey? We are currently recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician to be part of a close-knit team at a busy independent service centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in a supportive environment. The successful Vehicle Technician will have the chance to earn a competitive basic salary with achievable bonuses and benefits.

Benefits of the Vehicle Technician role include:
  • Competitive basic salary up to £38,000 dependent on experience and MOT qualification
  • Bonus scheme with earning potential of approximately £200 to £300 per month based on branch performance
  • Working hours from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1-in-2 Saturdays (8.30am – 1pm) for a half day

Duties of the Vehicle Technician role include:
  • Performing electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
  • Overhauling electrical equipment and components
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and maintenance
  • Carrying out MOT testing (preferably qualified but not essential)
  • Recording work performance, times and associated details accurately
  • Assisting with workshop duties and supporting team members as needed
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with safety policy and legal requirements
  • Assisting with collection and delivery of customer vehicles, working closely with the team
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician position:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Experienced in all aspects of vehicle repairs, servicing and diagnostics
  • Familiar with modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology
  • MOT Class 4 qualification beneficial but not essential
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to Godstone, Surrey
  • Computer literate and able to record work details accurately
  • Formal qualifications and driving licence will influence salary and package
