Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester seeking an exciting new opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, family-run garage group in Horley, Surrey, for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their expanding team.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role include:
  • Conducting accurate diagnosis and reporting of vehicle faults
  • Servicing, mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles and light vans
  • Performing MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
  • Assisting with repairs such as cambelts, clutches, and engine diagnostics
  • Maintaining comprehensive records and clear communication of test results to customers
  • Working within health and safety guidelines
Candidate requirements for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester position:
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in automotive repair
  • Proven experience working on multiple vehicle makes and models
  • MOT testing certification or willingness to train
  • Full UK driving licence, ideally with a clean record
  • Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards ongoing learning and professional development
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team
Additional skills that are advantageous:
  • Experience with engine rebuilds, turbo repairs, or advanced diagnostics
  • Ability to perform repairs on a broad range of vehicle systems
  • Flexibility to participate in overtime and KPI bonus schemes
