Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician – Coventry
  • Basic Salary: Up to £36,000 + bonus (£42,000 OTE)
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:30 with Saturday mornings on a rota

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician to join a well-established and expanding vehicle rental business based in Coventry. With over 35 years of trading history and a nationwide fleet exceeding 55,000 vehicles, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, growing organisation offering long-term career prospects and a consistently busy workshop.

About the Vehicle Technician Role:
You will be working within a fully equipped workshop, maintaining and repairing a fleet of around 3,000 vehicles, including vans, LCVs and cars. Vehicles include major brands such as Mercedes, Ford, Peugeot and Vauxhall, plus a growing fleet of electric vehicles, with full EV training provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and warranty work on a diverse fleet
  • Perform fault-finding and diagnostics using manufacturer and specialist diagnostic equipment
  • Complete technical repairs, component replacements and general mechanical/electrical work.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT where required
  • Deliver high-quality, compliant workmanship within job-time guidelines
  • Support workshop colleagues and maintain a positive and proactive team environment
  • Ensure customer vehicles are returned to the road quickly, safely, and to the highest standards
What Our Client is Looking For:
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualified Vehicle Technician
  • Strong workshop experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Confident diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults
  • Able to work to job times and prioritise workloads effectively
  • A team player with a hands-on approach and strong work ethic
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service
