Jimi Matthews joined Perfect Placement after a successful career in the Motor Trade, in fact, he applied for a role we were advertising in the trade and once we got to know each other Jimi decided that working for Perfect Placement was for him; a sound decision as Jimi celebrated 10 years with us in 2017.
Jimi opened up and ran the same area for Perfect Placement during our years of growth, and over his 10 years in recruitment, this became one of the most successful areas in the country.
His talents for business development were apparent given the growth and success of his area and in recognition of this and his service to the company, which was pivotal to our growth and success during 2009 to 2016 he was promoted to his current role as Director of Business Development.
This new role has the responsibility for securing the continued growth of our business, both externally throughout the UK and overseas; and internally with staff training and development. This includes both new and existing accounts, public relations, charitable events; completing a fire walk in 2017; and of course maintaining our exceptionally high standards as to how our business is conducted.
Jimi is also our Legal Compliance Director, liaising with the REC and the BIS, he also has responsibility for making sure our legal obligations to Data Protection, Equal Opportunities and Recruitment Legislation are being maintained.
He is a keen commentator on the motor industry, recruitment and employment themes in general and his works can be found not only on our own blog pages, but those of the Motor Industry press.
He has been called upon to run employment themed workshops and live stage Q&A appearances at Europe’s largest conference and exhibition - CDX and continues to offer his knowledge to Motor Industry training colleges, helping them to ready tomorrow’s automotive employees for the world of work.
Jimi’s roles within Perfect Placement are designed to enhance and develop both relationships with clients and to make sure that we remain the number 1 recruitment agency for the trade in which all of his working life has been spent.
