Toolroom Engineer - Milling, Turning & Grinding
We are seeking an experienced Toolroom Engineer to join our clients well established manufacturing business
To carryout maintenance, cleaning, repair and servicing ensure the tools are operating to maximum capacity with minimum disruption to production and ensuring downtime does not impact customer orders.
Working as an Engineer the job holder has responsibility for the modification and service repair of tools and range of runner systems within the business, providing technical support as required.

Duties as a Toolroom Engineer
Carryout safety visual inspections and ensure that there are safe working systems, work is being carried out in a safe manner and work areas are clean and tidy that new tooling documentation is complete.
Milling, Turning, Grinding to ensure there are no scratches, dints that will affect overall standard of product and polishing parts to restore finish due to damage and wear. Working to tolerances, using CNC mill and manual mills to machine components and cylindrical grinders to prepare finishes on component.
Undertake TIG welding to repair parts for cells and finishing tools and components, repair broken cavities, and carry out fabrication work including raising heights on machines and making electrical boxes.
Checking tolerances on parts to make sure they are within specification.  Using CMM measuring equipment, micrometers, calipers, slips and gauges, microscopes and cameras to achieve standard specification
What our client expects:
- C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Manufacturing (or similar which includes Turning, Milling, CNC Milling) 
- GCSE standard education in English, Maths and Science
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Hands on experience of operating Turning, Milling, CNC Milling equipment
