Child Bereavement  Support Worker - Little Plumstead, Norfolk (including outreach working), and working from home when required.
£20,250 Fulltime (37hrs per week) permanent contract

Perfect Placement are currently advertising on behalf of Nelson's Journey for a Child Bereavement Support Worker. Please see below their advert and if you are interested please send your application to us so we can send you their application pack.

Nelson’s Journey is offering candidates an opportunity to start a new year with a new role: supporting the bereavement needs of Norfolk’s children and young people.

The charity is recruiting an additional bereavement support worker to its existing team to help to grow and develop its services. Demand for services has significantly grown since the charity was founded in 1997, and the impact of Covid has seen more complex needs emerge for bereaved families and changes to how the charity delivers its services.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of child development, and experience of working directly with children, in-person and online, and will have the enthusiasm to innovate in service delivery.

The post will be based in Little Plumstead, near Norwich, and will include outreach work in other parts of Norfolk. Initially, it will require home working too due to the impact of Covid-19 on current working practices.

Good assessment skills and a willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends are also required. Access to a vehicle is essential, for which the appropriate mileage rate will be paid. The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The successful candidate must be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.

Closing date: 23:59, TUESDAY 5 JANUARY
Interview date: MONDAY 11 JANUARY (online through Microsoft Teams)

If you have any enquiries about this role please contact Nelson's Journey directly.
