Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk required in Pontypridd.

- Starting salary up to £20,000 per annum pending experience and current earnings.

Our client, a large multi-site automotive accident repair group established across South Wales and South West England, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their head office in Pontypridd.

Reporting to the Finance Director and work as part of a friendly accounts team, your duties as a Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk will include:

- Accurately post purchase invoices onto our client's accounting system.
- Assist with the reconciling of supplier statements.
- Assist with the managing and maintenance of the Purchase Ledger.
- Checking and inputting staff expenses.
- Actively participate and engage in any relevant training or development necessary, in order to efficiently complete all tasks allocated to you.
- General clerical duties and admin support to the Finance Director
- Work co-operatively with colleagues, customers, suppliers and any other instructed parties involved.
- Perform in a suitable manner any other tasks and duties that may from time to time be reasonably requested of you by our client.
- Cover additional responsibilities and duties for any other Accounts Assistant during their annual leave periods.

In order to be eligible you will ideally live within an easily commutable distance of Pontypridd and will need to hold recent or current experience working within a similar Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk role. You will need to be IT literate and have a methodical and organised approach as well as being a team. Experience working in the motor industry or with the SAGE 50 accounting software system would be advantageous but is non-essential. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also required as this position may occasionally require you to travel between sites within our client's group.

- Starting salary up to £20,000 per annum pending experience and current earnings.
- Overtime subject to availability paid at standard rate.
- Full support/training provided with access to training towards completing an AAT qualification.
