Our client, a large Automotive Vehicle Accident Repair Centre Group with centres across the South Wales region, is currently looking to recruit an experienced and professional Automotive Bodyshop Controller to join their busy centre in Cardiff.
Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager and responsible for 25 members of staff, you will work as part of a team managing the throughput of vehicles in one of our client's busiest centres. The successful candidate will control job start and finish times, working closely with workshop productives and other personnel to ensure that vehicles are repaired in a timely, safe and correct manner. They will conduct daily progress meetings and report any problems or unexpected delays to the Bodyshop Manager. They will also be responsible for ensuring that tools and equipment are maintained in good working order, all relevant Health & Safety and quality control procedures are adhered, and cover the Bodyshop Manager in their absence.
In order to be eligible, recent or current experience working in a busy accident repair centre is essential at this stage. Applicants will also need to have previously held a bodyshop controller or supervisory position with a medium-to-large accident repair centre. You will be able to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair methodology and ideally hold previous experience with Audatex and the Autoflow Bodyshop Management software system. With good organisational skills, you will be capable of planning and prioritising work to ensure that jobs are completed on time and to the high standards expected by our customers. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with internal customers and suppliers.

* Starting basic salary of £25,000 per annum pending experience and current earnings.

The hours worked are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday Subject to business demand and as a key holder you may be required to work additional hours when necessary so you will need to have a flexible approach to this.
