Local Business Development Manager required for a Main Dealer Group Head Office

  • Salary £25,000 per annum + Bonus (OTE £45,000) + Company Car

On behalf of our client we are looking for a talented Vehicle Leasing Business Development Executive to join their Head Office Team.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

To contact and develop business relationships with the many and varied number of Business Units operating in the Edinburgh/Lothian and Borders area.
To offer a new and unique solution to New Vehicle purchase and financing for Business Users.
To promote and sell vehicles from within the current portfolio and to also commit to the supply and funding of all other marques.
To promote and develop the sale of Business User Finance products including Hire Purchase (Fixed and Varied), PCP, Contract Hire and Leasing.
To develop relationships with the branch Corporate Sales teams and to liaise with the Group Corporate Sales Administrator.
To prospect and follow up as required by management.
To ensure that all administration work is of a high standard.
To ensure that all invoicing is correct at all times and that vehicles are paid for in the parameters laid down.
Complete a daily call log and submit to the Manager at the end of every week.
Review all Business User clients every month and update the Manager.
Maintain all product knowledge and sales training aids.
Liaise as necessary with Franchise Personnel.
Attend training courses as required and appropriate.
Arrange to attend selective Fleet/Corporate events as deemed appropriate and beneficial.
To promote the sale of General Insurance products and any other products offered by the company as deemed relevant and appropriate.
Assistance with any other task as required.

You will be expected:

To prepare vehicle invoices fully and accurately.
To prepare and submit finance proposals to our Lending Partners, providing additional support material as required.
To prepare finance documents for signing, dating and witnessing as required.
To operate within the guidelines of CCL and CCD
To send/fax documentation to the appropriate finance house for payment by BACS/CHAPS
To send/fax any support documentation as required
To secure payment remittance before vehicle release/delivery.

Competences Required:

Previous experience in a Corporate Sales Role within the Motor Industry

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills along with great interpersonal skills and team orientation. They will have the ability to work under own initiative and possess a high level of self-motivation.
