Light Commercial Vehicle Technician required in Stirling

  • Basic Salary of up to £30,800 plus bonus

Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Required for National Automotive Fleet Workshop in Stirling.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician who is capable of working on HGVs as well as Vans to a high standard.

You will be skilled in all aspects of Vehicle Repairs and servicing, and ideally hold a valid MOT license and a Class 2 HGV license.

Key Responsibilities As LCV Mechanic:
Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
Overhaul electrical equipment and components
Welding (if authorised)
Control (as directed) the work of Assistant Technicians, Workshop Assistance, and Apprentice Vehicle Technicians
Record attendance, work performance, times taken and associated details
Carry out inspection and repair of Automotive Workshop equipment as directed
Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Automotive Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
Undertake the duties of Assistance Technician and Automotive Workshop Assistant as required
May be required to substitute the Vehicle Technician in Charge
Working at all times in accordance with Safety policy and legal requirements.

Essential Skills;

Must be qualified to a minimum of SVQ/City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Experienced in carrying out all classes of skilled work involving inspection and maintenance
Experienced with modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology
Computer literate
It would be an advantage but not essential for the applicant to have a HGV class 2 driving license

Hours for this Vehicle Technician role are Monday to Friday 08.00-17.00.
