Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Required for National Automotive Fleet Workshop in Stoke.

The position is based on a rotating shift between 07:00 - 21:00 (1 x 21:00 finish in every 5 weeks) and 1 in 5 Saturdays 08:00 - 13:00.

There are a vast amount of perks with this company and they are paying a very generous Basic salary of £29,759 with realistic OTE's of over £34,000!

As an experienced individual, you will be skilled in all aspects of Vehicle Repairs and servicing.

Key Responsibilities As an LCV Mechanic:
-Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
-Overhaul electrical equipment and components
-Welding (if authorised)
-Control (as directed) the work of Assistant Technicians, Workshop Assistance, and Apprentice Vehicle Technicians
-Record attendance, work performance, times taken and associated details
-Carry out inspection and repair of Automotive Workshop equipment as directed
-Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Automotive Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
-Undertake the duties of Assistance Technician and Automotive Workshop Assistant as required
-May be required to substitute the Vehicle Technician in Charge
-Working at all times in accordance with Safety policy and legal requirements.

Essential Skills;

-Must be qualified to a minimum of SVQ/City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
-Experienced in carrying out all classes of skilled work involving inspection and maintenance
-Experienced with modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle technology
-It would also be an advantage but not essential for the applicant to have a HGV class 2 driving license
