Our client is a leading Insurance provider offering support to a number of different industries.
This role has been created owing to continued growth in one particular sector which requires additional digital support you'll be working with an AngularJS/MVC e-commerce system running in Azure with a WCF backend, and our client needs you to hit the ground running from day one.

Once you're up to speed there's a number of exciting projects waiting to go, which will really give you the opportunity to make your mark. This isn't a role where you'll be spending all your time fixing someone else's code!

You'll be part of a friendly and supportive development team, but it is expected that you will be their 'go-to' person for all things front end related. Both as a team, and as a company our client is very open to new ideas and technologies and want to provide you with what you need to give their customers the experience they deserve, and expect.

Essential Skills you will require:

A working and commercial knowledge of: HTML/CSS, Javascript/JQuery, AngularJS, Asp.Net, MVC.Net, C# and VB.Net

Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels in an agile environment as well as good team working skills and ability to work with minimal supervision and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Although NOT essential if you have a working knowledge of any of the following it would make you stand out as a candidate: WCF/SOAP, .Net, Visual Studio and testing frameworks as well as, experience of GIT/GITHUB and an understanding of OOP principles.
If you knew TDD and had a knowledge of design patterns as well as User design experience, PHP, WordPress,
SQL Server, Azure Webapps and Azure SQL then you'd be top of the list.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Work on customer-facing websites / Consult with internal clients about business requirements. / Build applications to internal client specifications. / Customise current applications in line with changing business needs. / Evaluate performance of applications. / Test and implement system updates. / Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code. / Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to address these issues. / Help maintain code quality and organisation. / Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your manager.
