Service Team Leader required in Bolton
Monday - Friday 8am-6pm
Alternating Saturdays 8am-1pm
Basic £21,000 / OTE £28,000- £30,000

Our Automotive Main Dealer client is seeking a Service Team Leader to join their team in Bolton for their busy Service Department.

This role includes managing the Service Reception Team and to communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Provide help and support to the Service Advisers, including identification of training, coaching and development needs in line with our Core Values and day to day manage the team's performance. Communicate concerns and policies with management and team members.

Job Duties:

  • Manages Service Advisor Sales and Performance in line with company procedures, including keeping detailed records of Service Satisfaction (SSS) Outcomes including the follow-up, League of Champion's, advising management on areas for improvement and development of the department where necessary
  • Help to create a positive environment through providing encouragement and coaching to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
  • Assists management with interviews and new team member training
  • Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance to the company values, process and procedures
  • Record, monitor and communicate deadlines and sales goals to team members
  • Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company policy's and performance goals
  • Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines in line with Service Advisor KPI's
  • Ensures company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards
  • Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
  • Reduce lost sales by coaching the team & second facing
  • Communicate with the sales teams to establish daily deliveries and to ensure that pre-booking is completed on the day of delivery
  • Organise Team rota's to ensure we have adequate cover for Saturdays and lunch
  • Control Work In Progress to ensure all invoicing is up to date
  • Cash handling of the department to ensure there are no outstanding monies
  • Update daily management reports
  • Ensure all relevant training is completed

Service Team Leader 'Basic' Daily Responsibilities (not a complete list):

  • Contribute in Team Meeting 7.45am (prior day, today, tomorrow info)
  • Job Card Prep (2 days prior to event)(ensure no duplicate job cards are made)
  • Cash Handling/Banking (completed by 9.00am)
  • Sales Deliveries Pre-Bookings (yesterday deliveries and today by 10.00am)
  • Account Issues (resolve within the day)
  • Complaint handling, monitor, log, analyse, resolve and review daily to MA Service Manger
  • Ensure all 'No Shows' are followed up within the day of booking in line with the company process
