Owing to continued online growth and customer usage of their services our client in looking for an experienced and highly talented UI Engineer to build and maintain user interface updates (content, build, MVT Tests and defects) and initiate the process to publish into the production environments.
The team of UI / UX designers and engineers you will be joining are responsible for building rich user experiences for both internal and external users, from internal use sites to full scale transactional systems, and everything in-between.

Who you'll be working in a Scrum Team within our client's Digital business area alongside a Product Owner, Designer, and Engineers.

What you'll be doing:

Champion the agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) within the team, ensure that Agile principles are understood and practiced by peers.
Develop web pages from approved designs and content requirements using technologies including Teamsite, CQ5, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Work with and manage code repositories when required
Perform and complete cross browser compliance testing and accessibility testing to agreed standards
Ensure that quote functionality is still available to customers on legacy web sites following releases in the relevant environment.

You will need:

Experience with Angular2+
Experience with a CSS Preprocessor
Experience with Unit Testing / E2E Testing
Understanding of W3C Standards
Understanding of Good Coding Practices (Accessibility, Optimisation)
Understanding of Responsive/Cross-browser builds
Understanding of Object Oriented CSS Methodologies

Pivotal to this role is self-development and you'll be expected to research new technologies and their potential uses on the company's web sites. Provide proof of concepts and advise the business of the relevant benefits of investing in these technologies prior to roll-out or implementation.
