Ambulance Vehicle Technician Required in Ebbsfleet Valley, Kent 
  • Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday only 
  • Pay: Circa £45k Depending on Experience and Qualifications - overtime available if wanted 
Our client is a registered non-emergency patient transport service, who are currently seeking a dedicated Ambulance Vehicle Technicians to join their dynamic team based in Ebbsfleet Valley in Kent. Operating in the Kent and Essex area our client is committed to providing a safe and reliable transportation for NHS trust patients, serving over 350,000 individuals annually! 

Position: Ambulance Vehicle Technician Required in Ebbsfleet Valley south of the river Thames. Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

As an Ambulance Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of PTS/Emergency Ambulances and Van fleet vehicles. This position involves covering the local area and may require occasional travel between different sites.

Main Responsibilities as a Ambulance Vehicle Technician / Mechanic:
  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks on both emergency and non-emergency vehicles
  • Execute and assess preventive maintenance schedules
  • Address issues related to brake, engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air suspension systems, exhaust, axle assemblies, and other related vehicle systems
  • Replace and repair tires on a range of vehicles
  • Report and record any unsafe practices or workplace hazards
  • Ensure prompt recording of all incidents
Essential Criteria Of The Ambulance Vehicle Technician:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicles and previous experience in a similar environment. City & Guilds Automotive or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK manual driving license with less than 6 penalty points
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Proven flexibility within a dynamic environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous responsibility for the maintenance of a large, varied fleet
