Our client, the UK's premier vehicle rental specialist, urgently requires a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field and be fully competent in servicing and repairing vehicles to the highest possible standard. We require nothing less than the best and expect the chosen candidate to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician:
To become a Vehicle Technician with our client, you will typically need to have completed a relevant apprenticeship or hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. You should also have a minimum of 3 years experience in the servicing and repair of a range of vehicles, as well as knowledge of diagnostic equipment. In addition, you will need to have a full UK driving licence with minimal points and be able to demonstrate good communication and customer service skills.

- Conducting routine maintenance checks on vans such as oil and filter changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in vans, including engine, transmission, suspension, and steering systems.
- Carrying out scheduled servicing, which involves following a checklist of items to be inspected and replaced.
- Using diagnostic equipment to pinpoint faults in the van's electronic systems.
- Keeping accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent on each job.
- Road testing vans to ensure that they are running smoothly and safely.
- Communicating with customers to explain repairs needed and the costs involved.
