HGV Trailer Technician Needed in Manchester
  • Location: Manchester
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available
  • Salary: £38,500 - £40,000, plus overtime at x1.5
  • OTE: £50,000
  • Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays – You can purchase an additional 4 days, totalling 37 days of holiday!

Our client, a market leader in transportation and logistics across Europe, is looking for an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Great Place to Work Certified company that offers excellent benefits and recognizes hard work.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV trailer Tech:
  • Perform detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers, ensuring safety and functionality.
  • Complete all compliance documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems 
  • Participate in ongoing training
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while working under tight deadlines.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure and safe work environment.
Requirements of the HGV Trailer Technician  
  • Semi-Trailer or Heavy Vehicle experience.
  • Industry-standard qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs.
  • HGV Class 1 driving licence
  • IRTEC accreditation.
  • EBS diagnostics experience
  • Welding certification.
  • Experience with axle manufacturers
  • Tail lift training and experience.
  • Experience with double-deck or lifting deck trailers.
