Vehicle SMART Repair Technician required in Ross-on-Wye.
  • Starting salary up to £41,600 plus bonuses providing on-target-earnings around £50,000+ per annum
  • 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours available.
Our client, a large independent accident repair centre based in the Ross-on-Wye region, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle SMART Repair Technician to join their business. 

Report to the Centre Manager and working as part of a team, your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Carry out all vehicle SMART repairs according to best practice procedures.
  • Meeting acceptable safety and quality standards.
  • Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  • Use all paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment accurately for all paint repairs.
  • Seek clarification from the Centre Manager if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect.
  • Complete assigned jobs within the estimated repair/paint times.
  • Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and its contents while in the centre.
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines.
  • Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
Requirements for this Vehicle MET/Strip Fit Technician are:
  • previous experience as a Vehicle SMART Repair Technician (either mobile or workshop-based) or alternatively have relevant transferable automotive accident repair experience with skills like vehicle re-spraying and prepping
  • you will be a team player
  • have strong communication skills
  • be capable of working towards targets/KPI's, and be able to maintain high standards of housekeeping
  • A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.

  • Starting salary up to £41,600 plus
  • Time-save bonus scheme providing on-target-earnings around £50,000+ per annum.
  • Overtime, subject to availability, paid at standard rate.
  • 20 days annual holiday plus the bank holidays.
  • Full in-house training provided. 
  • 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours available.
  • Occasional overtime may be required, subject to business demand, so you will need to be flexible with this; however, it would be paid as overtime.
