Key Responsibilities for a Workshop Controller:
- Oversee daily workshop workflow, ensuring timely completion of repairs and services
- Lead and motivate technicians, providing guidance and technical support as needed
- Actively participate in diagnostics and repair work when required
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout all work
- Prioritise jobs and monitor progress to meet deadlines and customer expectations
- Coordinate scheduling and communication between the workshop and service advisors
- Uphold health and safety standards within the workshop environment
- Proven hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs, with leadership experience preferred
- Strong technical skills and confidence in modern vehicle systems, including hybrid and electric vehicles
- Excellent organisational and team management abilities
- Effective communication skills with both staff and customers
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate automotive qualifications
- Competitive basic salary up to £48,000 based on experience
- OTE up to £55,000 with performance-based bonuses
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities at enhanced rates
