Diagnostic Vehicle Technician Required in Croydon. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our client’s dealership in Croydon, Surrey. This well-established, manufacturer-owned dealership offers a supportive environment for skilled technicians looking to develop their careers.

Salary & Benefits for the Diagnostic Technician:
  • Basic salary up to £37,500, with OTE reaching £44,000
  • Sign-On Bonus: £1,500 including:
    • £750 on joining
    • £250 upon brand accreditation 
    • £500 after 12 months of service
  • Additional basic pay per month for MOT-qualified technicians
  • Company Car Scheme: Access up to two company-branded vehicles, including insurance, servicing, breakdown, and tyre cover
  • Performance-based bonuses and rewards
  • Generous pension contributions up to 7%
  • 42.5-hour week Monday - Friday, with Saturdays on a 1 in 3 morning rota
  • Holidays starting at 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service

Role Summary: As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards. Using specialised diagnostic tools, you will identify issues and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities for the Diagnostic Technician:
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Perform repairs, servicing, and inspections
  • Use diagnostic equipment efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality customer service
  • Follow safety standards and maintain a clean working environment
Candidate Profile of the Diagnostic Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • MOT qualification is advantageous
