PDI Technician - Stafford Main Dealer
  • Salary up to £32,000 - Depending on experience

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am til 5pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

My client who is a well-established main dealer in Stafford is looking for a Vehicle Technician to come and join their friendly inclusive team as a PDI / Prep Technician.

Duties of this PDI Technician Role:
  • Conduct thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and prepared to the highest standard before customer handover or showroom display.
  • Identify and report any defects, faults, or damage found during the inspection process.
  • Fit accessories and carry out minor installations, such as mats, mud flaps, number plates, and in-car technology as per customer or manufacturer requirements.
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical checks (e.g., lights, levels, tyre pressures, battery charge).
Essential Skills for this PDI Technician Role:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Motor industry experience
  • A full and valid UK driving licence
  • Diagnostic Experience
  • MOT tester is preferable
  • Brand experience
