General Manager – Classic Car Restoration
  • Location: Coventry area
  • Salary: Up to £42,000 basic + bonus
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, full-time
We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead a well-regarded classic car restoration business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a background in automotive or restoration, and a genuine appreciation for classic vehicles.

As General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and smooth workshop operations. You will drive growth, manage staff, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities as a General Manager:
  • Oversee daily operations across workshop, restoration, and administration.
  • Lead and support a team of skilled technicians and office staff.
  • Manage customer relationships, providing updates and ensuring expectations are met.
  • Plan and monitor restoration projects to ensure quality and deadlines are achieved.
  • Take responsibility for budgets, financial performance, and business growth.
  • Ensure health & safety, compliance, and quality standards are upheld.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services, improve processes, and increase profitability.
About You:
  • Proven management or leadership experience (automotive/restoration background preferred).
  • Strong organisational and people management skills.
  • A genuine passion for classic and heritage vehicles.
  • Commercially minded with budgeting and business development experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
