HGV Technician (Days) – Manchester
  • Salary: Up to £42,700 basic | £61,000 OTE (annual pay rises + profit share)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Regular overtime offered at time and a half & double time!
Shift Pattern (Alternating Weeks):
  • Week 1: 07:00 – 15:30
  • Week 2: 12:30 – 21:00
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings: 08:00 – 12:00 (paid at overtime rate)

Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
  • Carry out routine servicing and inspections to manufacturer standards
  • Conduct vehicle testing in a safe and professional manner
  • Diagnose faults and provide detailed reports
  • Undertake repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
Requirements for the HGV Technician:
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Mechanics (or time-served with 3+ years’ experience)
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, tippers, or beaver tails is an advantage
  • Ability to work to high safety and quality standards
