  • Basic Salary Circa - £50,000 depending on experience
  • OTE - £55,000
  • Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer
  • Monday – Friday 18:00 – 02:00 (Flexible start and finish times available)
  • Other shifts available – earlies, days, lates and nights
HGV Technician required for our client’s busy Portsmouth workshop!

Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle repair and maintenance business with over 30 years of experience, is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team on the late/night shift in Portsmouth. They work with a diverse range of haulage companies and fleet operators, delivering high standards of service and technical expertise across all makes and models of commercial vehicles. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team that values quality workmanship and career development.

Duties of a HGV Technician with our client include:  
  • Carrying out vehicle inspections, repairs and routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer procedures within standard times
  • Fault diagnosis and defect repairs
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure quality standards are met
  • MOT preparation and presentation
  • Assisting with breakdowns and roadside assistance when needed
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
What our client expects from their HGV Technicians:
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working with commercial vehicles of various makes and models
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills and a methodical approach to work
