  • Basic Salary Up to £44,000 + OTE £60,000
  • Independent Garage
  • Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:30, Saturdays 1 in 2 08:30 – 17:30
  • Saturdays paid at overtime rate
Our Client, a long established independent garage group with multiple branches across the South & South East, dealing with all makes of models of vehicles are seeking a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester for their branch in Eastleigh.

They are a well-respected automotive business, with multiple sites across the Sussex and Hampshire area, providing a whole range of automotive services.

Duties of a MOT Technician with our Client:
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of vehicles while maintaining company and industry standards and adhering to time constraints
  • Carry out diagnosis and undertake a wide range of servicing and repair work.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensures effective use of technical knowledge and skills enabling efficient, economic and safe servicing and repair of the vehicles.
  • Builds effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Carry out MOTs on a regular basis in accordance with company and brand expectations if MOT licensed.
  • Completes repair and service records/other appropriate activities the Team Leader and Manager required.
  • Actively supports company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
  • Analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle’s condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed.
What our Client expects of their MOT Technician:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Similar – Time Served Considered
  • To provide basic tooling and equipment, or be able to purchase own basic tooling and equipment prior to employment
  • Ideally an MOT Testing Licence
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Organisational skills, and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of the motor trade
  • Good team player
  • Full UK driving licence (Necessity)
