About Our Client Our client is a trusted family-run dealership with over 50 years of providing quality vehicles and outstanding service to the Farningham and Kent community. Known for their friendly atmosphere and commitment to excellence, they are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join their skilled workshop team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities as a MOT Technician:
  • Perform routine maintenance and vehicle repairs to the highest standards
  • Conduct MOT tests in compliance with DVSA regulations, ensuring all vehicles meet legal and safety standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with advanced diagnostic tools
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify safety or maintenance concerns
  • Complete service, repair, and MOT tasks efficiently within designated timeframes
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and MOT test results
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards, ensuring client satisfaction
Ideal MOT Technician Profile:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role in a busy workshop
  • Qualified to Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Mechanics (Level 2 considered with relevant experience)
  • Valid MOT Tester license (or willingness to undertake training to obtain one)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge
  • Valid UK driver’s license
