Night Shift HGV Technician required in Belvedere

Are you a skilled HGV Technician looking for a rewarding night shift role with excellent pay and career development opportunities? We are currently seeking a dedicated Night Shift HGV Technician to join our client's thriving Commercial Vehicle Business in Belvedere, South East London. This pivotal role offers a competitive basic salary with the potential to earn up to £51,000 a year through overtime and incentives, all while working a flexible schedule that avoids weekends.

In this HGV Technician role, you will perform essential maintenance and repair services on Heavy Goods Vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and scheduled maintenance protocols. Your expertise will ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable, and road-ready. Collaboration within a dynamic team environment and a focus on first-time right repairs will be key to your success.

Required Skills of the HGV Technician:
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV repair and maintenance (essential)
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with HGVs in a fleet or commercial setting
  • Practical knowledge of diagnostics and operational fluid management
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • IT proficiency relevant to workshop management
  • Valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Experience with tail lifts (desirable)
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with tail lift technologies
  • Additional relevant certifications or training in commercial vehicle repair
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV repair and maintenance
  • Two or more years of hands-on experience in a busy workshop environment
Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work 4 nights of 11 hours or 5 nights for 9 hours, with no weekend work
  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workshop environment
  • Willingness to attend ongoing training and skills development
