We are seeking a skilled Classic Car Technician to become a vital part of our clients industry leading Classic Car Restoration workshop team, working on some of the most esteemed classic cars in the industry. This is your chance to work in a respected environment that values expertise, stability, and passion for automotive restoration.
- Hours: 7.30 - 4.30pm Monday - Friday ONLY - never work a weekend again!
- Pay: Depending on skills and knowledge Up to £45,000 Basic
- Service and maintain classic vehicles with precision and care, following client specifications
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components, ensuring originality and quality
- Advise the Workshop Manager on necessary repairs and optimisations
- Produce accurate time and cost estimates for restoration projects
- Maintain meticulous repair and service records
- Diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions
- Fabricate or repair parts, adhering to manufacturer standards
- Test and validate systems post-repair to ensure optimal performance
- Proven experience in classic car repair and restoration, ideally with high-end or vintage vehicles
- Strong diagnostic abilities and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent knowledge of automotive systems, with a focus on vintage models
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a passion for restoring cars to the highest standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow precise instructions
- Knowledge of carburetors, fuel intake systems, and straight-six engines
- Experience with vehicles the post-war period
- Familiarity with large-scale restoration projects, spanning months or years
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance and restoration
- Qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or a related field
- Valid UK driving licence and own set of tools
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
- A genuine enthusiasm for classic cars and restoration craftsmanship
- No specific travel requirements; immediate start preferred
