Senior Vehicle Technician
  • Location: Croydon, Surrey
  • OTE (On-Target Earnings): £50,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a dynamic and well-established automotive workshop team. In this role, you will provide expert technical advice, mentor junior technicians, and assist in troubleshooting complex vehicle issues to ensure top-quality service. The Ideal Senior Technician is a professional, confident, and capable mechanic who takes pride in delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Technician:
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to other technicians, helping to resolve challenging issues promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of work and ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing expertise and best practices.
  • Record all work accurately and complete documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Keep current with the latest diagnostic tools and technical developments, especially regarding dealer diagnostics, with an openness to working across multiple brands including BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes, and more.
  • Support the upcoming development of a new workshop 
Senior Technician Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Master Technician, Technician, or LCV Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience working with dealer-level diagnostics.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexible to work across multiple vehicle brands, including luxury and commercial vehicles.
  • Valid qualifications in vehicle technology and relevant industry certifications.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, with two breaks and a 30-minute lunch break
  • Saturdays: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (rotational)
Salary & Benefits:
  • Basic salary starting at £45,000, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
  • Potential for earnings up to £50,000+ including bonuses
  • Bonus structure based on team performance and individual achievements
  • Monthly team bonus averaging around £100-£250
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities
  • Chance to work with a reputable main dealer network, including brands like BMW, Audi, VW, and Mercedes-Benz
  • Opportunity to be part of a new commercial vehicle workshop opening nearby soon
