MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician – Main Dealer
  • Location: Kidderminster
  • Salary: £16 – £19 per hour (depending on shift) + shift allowance + overtime
  • Hours: Flexible Shifts Available (Days, Lates, or Nights)

Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified MOT Tester (Class 4 and 7) who can also assist with Level 3 vehicle technician work on light commercial vehicles.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Commercial Vehicle Dealer known for its professionalism, progression opportunities, and strong team environment. The MOT Technician role offers flexible shift patterns and competitive hourly pay rates, making it ideal for an experienced MOT tester looking for stability and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities as a MOT Technician:
  • Carry out Class 4 and 7 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations.
  • Complete general service, maintenance and repair work on vans (Level 3 standard) when required.
  • Accurately record findings and maintain all MOT and service documentation.
  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults efficiently.
  • Work to high standards ensuring safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.
Shift Options & Pay:
  • Night Shift: Monday – Thursday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM, paid at £19 per hour + shift allowance (OTE mid-£40,000s).
  • Late Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, paid at £16 per hour
  • Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, paid at £16 per hour.
(Shift patterns are flexible depending on experience and preference.)

Requirements for the MOT Technician Position:
  • Valid MOT Tester licence for Class 4 and 7 vehicles.
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with vans or light commercial vehicles is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team.
