As an Automotive Paint Sprayer, you will play a crucial responsibility in the repair and refinishing of vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare surfaces, mix paint colours, and apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and related equipment. You will ensure that the highest standards of quality and finish are achieved while adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.
Responsibilities of this Paint Sprayer role:
- Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces
- Mix paint colours to match vehicle specifications and ensure a seamless finish
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other equipment
- Identify and repair surface imperfections, such as scratches or dents
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the painting process
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet customer expectations
- Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Excellent knowledge of paint mixing, colour matching, and application techniques
- Proficiency in using spray guns, sanding tools, and related equipment
- Sound understanding of surface preparation and repair processes
- Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality control
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive refinishing is a plus
Salary and Benefits: The successful Paint Sprayer will receive a salary of £54,600 per annum based on £21 p/h, in addition to a bonus structure. There are also offer opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the automotive industry.
