Our client, a well-established family-run car dealership, is looking for a skilled PDI Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. Duties for the PDI Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of new vehicles, checking for damage or defects
  • Perform mechanical inspections including engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Test electrical components such as lighting, indicators, and onboard systems
  • Check and top up all essential vehicle fluids
  • Conduct road tests to identify any issues not visible during stationary inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify fault codes and electronic system problems
  • Clean and detail vehicles to showroom standards
  • Install accessories such as GPS systems or roof racks as requested by customers
  • Perform software updates and ensure all vehicle documentation is complete
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure seamless vehicle delivery
  • Report any defects or issues uncovered during inspections
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools necessary for PDI tasks
Candidate requirements for this PDI Vehicle Technician:
  • Valid driving licence
  • Own tools necessary for inspection and repairs
  • Previous experience within a similar role, with a stable work history
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
