Human Resources Manager in the Motor Trade is tasked with managing a team of HR professionals and delivering a wide range of HR Services to the staff of a Motor Trade business. This role is important to the success of any Automotive business because taking care of its people puts them in the best position to work to their highest ability.

HR Managers are typically based within a Main Dealership and it is not uncommon for a HR Manager to manage multiple sites across the franchise of a Dealership group. They will be expected to visit each site to offer face to face support to employees and assist in recruitment campaigns when necessary.

A HR Manager will regularly interact with people at all levels of the business, from the Receptionist and the Service Advisors, to senior operation staff and Directors which mean excellent communication skills are essential.  A successful HR Manager will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of Employment Law and relevant legislation.

The hours of work for a HR Manager will usually reflect those of the Dealership, typically they will work 40hours across a 5 day week, but this will usually be Monday – Friday.
