Has a robot landing on Comet 67P outlined the future of the car trade?

Industry news

With the successful and historic stable landing of robot probe Philae on comet 67P and with it the realisation of Jonathan Hensleigh's 1996 dream of Armageddon, what cinematic fantasies involving cars could be next?

Do we still dream of going back to 1955 in a DeLorean or even that where we are going we don't need roads and that cars can fly or hover?

We know that car Product Placement exists, the remake of Casino Royale had every car made by the old PAG group in it and more recently BMW brought the i8 to the attention of the world with Tom Cruise at the wheel. But has the cinema gone beyond product placement without us realising it, has it been idea placing for a while?

Realistically Hybrid/Electric technology is the future of the engine/motor, but what else can cinema history bring to reality in the future of the Motor Industry?

Demolition Man style cars that drive themselves are being played with currently, by numerous manufacturers and self-parking has been around for a while.

I'd be really interested to see comments on what is next for our industry from the minds of script/screenplay writers, what would you like to see? Quote the film please!
