Job seeker advice

With such a rich and diverse Automotive industry spanning all corners of the UK, we recognise that many of our candidates are willing to relocate in order to secure their dream role. While this can seem daunting at first, we’ve put together an area guide covering the key regions to give you as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision.

The East of England, often called East Anglia, an historic name dating back to the tribe from Northern Germany who settled in the area during the Anglo-Saxon period. It stretches from the ‘Wash’ on the North Norfolk coast to Southend in Essex with Suffolk in-between and to the West as far as Cambridgeshire.

Rolling farmland, beautiful coastline, picture perfect villages and a rich history and heritage are all elements which make up the East of England. The area has significant has a wealth of medieval venues to visit including Cambridge University, Norwich’s two cathedrals and multiple impressive castles. Those living and working in the area are spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do

The region offers people a great place to live and work with a large but growing economy as well as ambitious growth plans. The East of England is also home to three major Automotive manufacturers including Caterpillar UK, Delphi Diesel Systems and Lotus Cars.

Owing to the dispersed nature of the area’s cities and large towns, the area has the highest commute time in the UK, not helped by a distinct and often famed lack of Motor Ways. However, this statistic is often thought to be hyper-inflated by those working in Cambridge and choosing to live outside the area owing to high house prices in the area.

The motor trade job market is fast paced and often competitive but our team covering the East of England have the knowledge and expertise to help you secure your dream role. We recruit across all disciplines of the motor trade in this area for new and used car dealerships, commercial vehicle dealerships, bodyshops and motor vehicle accident repair centres and also agricultural dealers as well a whole host of other automotive businesses.
