As a Vehicle Fleet Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the success of the sales department which will include increasing sales performance, profitability and efficiency. A successful Vehicle Fleet Sales Manager will be capable of building excellent customer relationships across the local Automotive fleeting industry as well as having strong leadership and people management skills.

A Vehicle Fleet Sales Manager is based in a Dealership but depending on the size of the sales team may be involved in prospecting and attending meetings with new and existing clients. As a business to business sales role, a successful Fleet Sales Manager will need to have expert relationship skills with customers ranging from company car drivers, key fleet decision managers including managing and financial directors. Client satisfaction and retention are key to the success of the Fleet Sales Department therefore, you should have strong commercial awareness and prioritise service standards at every stage of the process.

This role is fast paced and target driven. You will report into the General Manager and be expected to ensure the Sales Team provide the highest level of customer service at all times in order to attract and retain new business. You should have a high level of knowledge of FCA regulations and LCV price negation and funding methods. It is essential that you are fully competent in all Sales Department policies and ensure yourself and your team of Fleet Sales Executives implement these at all times.

Since this role depends heavily on reaching sales targets and driving the department forward, employers generally look for someone with a proven track record of sales success, experience in selling commercial vehicles and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. A Vehicle Fleet Sales Manager should be self-motivated, enthusiastic and act as a mentor for their team. Most employers will also request a full UK Driving license in this role. This role could be a great opportunity for a Senior Car Sales Executive looking to join the Fleet side of the Motortrade or an Executive Fleet Sales Executive ready to take the next step in their career.

Typical working hours for this role are up to 40 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday. Salaries range between £30K-£50K based on experience, brand and the location of the Dealership.
