As a Service Team Leader , you will be responsible for managing the Service Team and ensuring that every customer receives the best service possible. This role will include formulating and implementing strategies to help grow the department, coaching and supporting the service team, assisting management with interviews and training, managing complaints, cash handling and communicating key messages to the team.

Based in a Dealership, you will have regular interaction with new and existing customers. It is therefore essential that you can offer the highest levels of customer service by providing a knowledgeable, responsive and efficient service. You should lead by example and act as a mentor to your service team ensuring  processes and standards are adhered to, Service Advisors are reaching their targets and everyone is working towards the same goal.

You will report into the Service Manager and will be expected to prepare reports and attend regular meeting to ensure you have an all round view of what’s going on within the department at all times.

The role of Service Team Leader is very customer focused and has lots of potential for growth and promotion for the right person. The natural next steps would be the role of Service Manager and upwards.

Typical working hours in this role can be up to 40 hours per week and this can involves working some weekends as and when required. Salaries for this type of role range from £24K-28K depending on experience and as a Service Team Leader you will have the opportunity to earn performance based bonuses which can reach up to £32,000.
