Job seeker advice

As a Sales Controller you will oversee the Sales Operation which will include maximising profitability per unit sales, exploring sales opportunities and managing all sales enquiries. A Sales Controller should be hands-on and thrive in a fast paced environment. It is important that you have a full understanding of finance, warranty and credit protection insurance products and be able to tailor this information to each customer based on their needs.

Based in a Main Dealership, you will play a crucial role in the Sales Team and will support them by advising them, motivating them and implementing effective sales plans. This is a target drive role which requires an enthusiastic and proactive approach. As this role is heavily target driven, employers will request that candidates have sales experience and a proven track record of success. A full UK Driving license is also required for this role.

Typical working hours for a Sales Controller can be up to 45 hours per week and some weekend work can be expected on a rota basis. As a Sales Controller you will also get the opportunity to achieve great bonuses based on performance. For this reason, basic salaries tend to be lower but OTE can reach £40K and above. This role also offers scope for promotion right up to Sales Manager for the right person.
