  • Salary: up to £40,000 inc. bonus
  • Working hours: 40 - 45 hours per week. 
Our client, an Accident Repair Centre in Christchurch, are seeking to hire an experienced Estimator/ Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their busy estimating department. 

The Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator role is responsible for estimating all damaged vehicles and sending to insurance companies for authority. All estimates need to be created as accurately as possible.

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator, you will need the estimate to cover all repairs and create the correct repair times, and costs, which all need to be authorised.

A good communicator is required to build a strong working relationship with other team members, and the customer care team.

Other Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator job responsibilities:
  • Liaising with customers by phone and in-person
  • Liaising with insurance companies
  • Estimating damage to customers vehicles
  • Estimating using insurance companies preferred computer system
  • Estimating on or off-site
  • Valuating vehicle to repair costs
  • Estimating by insurance guidelines
  • Ordering correct parts with parts department (genuine or non-genuine)
  • Attaining correct repair methods
  • Update customers of repair status
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Updating online insurance systems
  • Give maximum customer care throughout
  • Imaging vehicle throughout stages
  • Updated insurance companies as requested
  • Creating job cards with repair methods attached
  • Obtaining repair authority
  • Updating communication log on management system.
