Vehicle Technician Required in Seaford, East Sussex

  • Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00, Saturdays 1 in 3 08:30 – 12:30

Our client is a Multi-Site Volume Dealership group with a larger presence within Sussex specialising in a volume manufacturer, they are currently seeking a Mechanic for their busy workshop.

This business has been serving the Newhaven and Eastbourne areas for over 50 years and has grown from strength to strength. Although they’ve experienced growth, they still stick by their traditional vales of proving a family friendly customer journey.

They are a tight-knit team, who support each other through-out the working day and provide a very supportive ethos

This role would suit a qualified technician, with previous experience within an automotive service department.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client 
  • To facilitate the repair and diagnosis of vehicle faults of both franchised manufacturer cars and all makes and models of vehicles
  • Undertake electronic VHCs and video checks
  • Ensure that any vehicles are repaired and serviced in a timely manner.
  • Develop and upkeep a high level of technical competence
  • Liaise with the Service Advisor’s and Service Manager regarding any issues
  • Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient service to all workshop customers

What our client expects of their technician 
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualifications or equivalent, Level 2 may be considered dependent on experience.
  • Excellent Communications skills
  • Be able to work both independently and as a team
  • Can adhere to a specific working process
  • Be willing to develop and expand on your mechanical knowledge
  • Full UK Driving Licence. – Preferably Clean
This vacancy is based in Seaford and our Client is ideally looking for motor trade experienced applicants however we may have opportunities for other experience levels such as NVQ level 1 or 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
