HGV Technician / Mechanic

Are you looking for a new challenge with a highly successful HGV and Commercial Vehicle Group where your contribution is recognised? Our automotive commercial client is actively looking to hire an HGV Technician / Mechanic for their busy site.
 
As a HGV Technician / Mechanic working here you will spend most of your time in the Workshop maintaining vehicles to the high standards, carrying out inspections, repairs and services as well as carrying out roadside repairs to recover vehicles.  Analysis and diagnostics of vehicles is also a critical part of this role to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations.

HGV Technician Vacancy Details:
  • Location: Chelmsford surrounding area.
  • Flexible Hours: You can choose the start time which suits you best - 7am, 8am or 9am!
  • Saturday Rota – 1 in 3 worked for 4 hours paid as overtime at time+half.
  • Hour Rate Ranges from £15 to £20 depending on experience, skill set and qualifications held.
  • There is a fantastic Bonus Opportunity based on Performance whereby you can push your overall salary to be a high earner!!
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent.

The successful HGV Technician will need to have:
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Mechanics. (Candidates will be asked to provide proof of their qualifications).
  • A professional track record as an HGV Technician/Mechanic.
  • Be highly skilled and competent at carrying out HGV repairs without support.
  • Good diagnostic skills with an understanding of Electronics & Electrical Systems.
  • Qualified in chassis repair and maintenance.
  • Understanding of Hydraulics.
  • Full UK Manual Car Licence - HGV Licence would be an advantage.
