  • Office Administrator required in South East Bristol.
  • Starting salary between £21-24,000 per annum with additional £1,500+ annual bonus potential.
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Our client, a network of manufacturer affiliated vehicle parts retailers employing over 1,500+ staff nationwide, requires an Office Administrator for their vehicle parts centre situated in the South East Bristol region. 

Reporting to the Centre Manager and working as part of a large and friendly team, as an Office Administrator your responsibilities shall include:
 
  • Ensure all monies received (cash, cheques, cards etc) are processed promptly and securely in accordance with our client's procedures.
  • Deal with returning cash refunds to customers and keep accurate records.
  • Update and maintain all cash journals with SAP software system.
  • Ensure all outstanding cash debt is followed up and managed in line with our client's procedures.
  • Complete banking either for collection by designated cash collection providor or for submission in person.
  • Process petty cash submissions.
  • Maintain a systematic filing system for the easy retrieval of documentation and information.
  • Produce regular weekly/monthly reports as required by our client's centre.
  • Monitor and control access to systems.
  • Provide general admin support to the team.
  • Professionally respond to and deal with customer communciation to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all members of the team to provide excellent customer service.
  • Liaise effectively with customers, your head office and other key stakeholders.
  • Administer the accurate upkeep of customer database records in line with the data protection act.
  • Ensure compliance with business standards and processes, financial, legal and ethical guidelines (including warranty).
  • Support our client to achieve high levels of process efficiency and cost control.
  • Ensure the proper and accurate use of all systems.

In order to be eligible, you will ideally live in the Bristol region or live within an easily commutable distance of South East Bristol. You will need to have previous experience working in an administrative capacity and be IT literate given you will be using Microsoft 365 and specifically Excel daily as well as other in-house software systems. Any experience in the motor trade or in accounts would be highly beneficial but isn't essential. Overall you will have the ability to work in a small team, as well as on your own initiative, have a methodical approach and pay attention to detail, be a good communicator, and demonstrate a real passion for providing great customer service. You will also need to have an honest disposition due to cash handling responsibilities.
