Responsibilities of a Panel Beater:
  • Conducting accurate assessments of vehicle damage and providing expert advice on repair methods.
  • Carrying out skilled panel repairs, including welding, panel beating, and alignment.
  • Restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Identifying and rectifying structural damage and conducting precise measurements to ensure correct alignment.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged panels using appropriate techniques and materials.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Following all health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, attending training sessions as required.
Requirements for Panel Beaters:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Technician in an accident repair centre or automotive workshop environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of panel repair techniques, including welding, panel beating, and alignment.
  • Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment, including measuring and aligning instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome challenges efficiently.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in panel repair (ATA certification preferred).
