Are you an experienced and skilled HGV Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our clients who are a prestigious National Dealership Group. Responsibilities of a HGV Technician:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and industry regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
  • Carry out scheduled vehicle services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Complete accurate and comprehensive service records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the service team to efficiently manage workload and prioritize repairs.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements for the successful HGV Technician:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role, with a strong background in servicing and repairing HGVs or commercial vehicles.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems and experience using diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficient knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Shift Availability:
  • 4 on 4 off days: Enjoy a flexible working pattern with four consecutive days followed by four days off, providing an excellent work-life balance.
  • Day shifts: Suitable for those preferring regular daytime working hours.
  • 4 on 4 off day shifts
