Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester required near Shipston-on-Stour.
  • Starting salary between £36-45,000 per annum pending experience.
  • Working hours from 8:00am-5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Our client, an independent family-run, community-focussed automotive service centre based to the east of Shipston-on-Stour, are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join their business.

Reporting to the Service Centre Manager and working as part of friendly team, you will be carrying out up to 6 MOT tests on customer’s vehicles each day to ministry standards and ensuring procedures relating to the function laid down by our client are adhered to at all times. Remaining time during each day will be spent carrying out fault diagnosis, service, and repair as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to management as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance.

To be eligible you will need to hold an active MOT Tester’s licence and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair however our client is very interested in looking at Vehicle Technicians with no formal qualifications but lots of "time served" practical experience.

Overall, you will need to be a team player, be capable of working to the standards of our client's business, have an organised and methodical approach to your workload with a high quality of workmanship, and be comfortable working in an independent service centre environment. A UK driving license with minimal points is also essential.
