As the Workshop Controller, you will be a proactive member of the dealership's team, with joint responsibility for the Used Car Preparation Mechanical Department and reporting to the Site Manager. You will work alongside a productive Workshop Controller and will be joint responsible for overseeing and motivating a busy team of Technicians! You will be required to run an efficient and professional operation to ensure complete customer satisfaction through the maximum utilisation of workshop facilities and the efficient sale of labour.
The successful Workshop Controller will ideally live within the Chepstow region or be within a reasonable commuting distance of there. You must have a proven track record at a supervisory/controller level within an automotive workshop environment. A strong technical understanding of passenger cars would be highly beneficial however client would also consider Workshop Controller candidates from a van, plant, or commercial vehicle background. Overall you will be effective in managing and supporting colleagues and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our client's reputation. You will be IT literate and ideally have experience working with the Kerridge/Keyloop DMS system.
